Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect:

• Your first and last name, and company name (if applicable)
• Email address and phone number
• Project address, including street address, unit, city, province, and postal code
• Project details, such as the type of project, your planning stage, the work involved, approximate size or measurements, photos, and any other information you choose to share
• Your marketing preferences (whether you have opted in to marketing emails or text messages)

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, our hosting, security, and analytics providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, and the website that referred you.

2. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare estimates and quotes
• Schedule, carry out, and follow up on your project
• Send transactional messages, such as visit reminders, appointment updates, quotes, and invoices, by email or text message
• Send marketing emails or text messages, only if you have opted in
• Keep business, accounting, and tax records
• Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it
• Protect our website from spam, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We only collect information that is reasonably needed for these purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Text messages and marketing

By providing your phone number on our quote request form, you agree to receive visit reminders and other transactional text messages from Meticulous Tile. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel.

Marketing emails and marketing text messages are optional. We only send them if you tick the relevant box on our form, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, replying STOP MKT to opt out of marketing texts, or contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing will not affect messages about a project you have booked with us.

4. Service providers we use

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business and website, and only as needed for them to provide their services:

• Jobber – our client management platform. It powers our quote request form and stores client details, quotes, scheduling, invoices, and text and email messages.
• Webflow – hosts this website.
• Cloudflare – provides domain name (DNS), security, and content delivery services for this website.
• Google Analytics – helps us understand how visitors use our website.
• Email and business software – used to communicate with you and keep our records.

Some of these providers store or process information outside of Canada, including in the United States. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the website to work securely, such as those set by Webflow and Cloudflare. We also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed and time spent. This information is reported to us in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Some parts of the website may not work as intended if cookies are disabled.

• Clients: We keep records of completed work, including contact details, quotes, invoices, and project records, for at least six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
• Enquiries: If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we delete your information within two years of our last contact.
• Marketing: We keep your marketing preferences until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. How we protect your information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information, including secure, password-protected business software and limiting access to people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect the information you share with us.

8. Your rights and choices

You have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by law, which is generally 30 business days.

9. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
